I don’t seek you anymore

Letting go before holding tight.

I don’t seek you anymore

No, it’s not out of resentment or remorse
Nor do I desire you any fraction less
It’s just that you’re too wild to be caged
You’re an explorer not yet looking to settle
Who then, am I, to possess thee?

So, I’ll battle and cage my insecurities instead
And not let them rattle and enrage these moments
Fetch whatever gives you eternal bliss
Only then you’ll know what truly matters
Naoko, I don’t seek you anymore

No, I am not going anywhere
For there is no place I’d rather be
I’ll just wait for you to figure life and death out
Won’t ask you to come over but to come home
To your companion in light and darkness

No, stepping back isn’t my thing
Nor do I love you any fraction less
But, beg you- don’t ask me to love half a heart
When mine skips its beats at the sound of your name
Naoko, I don’t seek you anymore
